About me and my therapy practice

I work from a person-centered perspective, which means we talk about what is most important to you.  Once we have built trust together we can look at the way you would like to work.  We will explore whatever you bring to the sessions and find ways to make connections for you. This could be by looking in to the past, looking at ways of thinking and behaving or looking forward to what you want to do differently. Ultimately we work towards your goals and the change or movement you would like to see in your life.

Practice description

I am a trained counsellor and coach, gaining my qualifications at the University of East London and Esher College.

I came to counselling from a career in the arts and administration and following my own experiences of growth, change and counselling.

I have volunteered for many years with a mental health charity and champion the importance of talking through our feelings and being able to come to an understanding of ourselves in order to live a joyful and fulling life.

I continue to learn about myself through my work as a counsellor and would like to work with you to help you understand yourself.

If you are interested in counselling please do contact me to arrange a session.

My first session

The first session will be a chance for you to ask about the counselling process, to tell me your hopes for therapy and for you to talk through anything that comes up for you.  There is no 'right' way to approach counselling, but it should be a safe and judgement free space for you to talk and explore what is going on for you.  The first session is a chance for you to find out if working with me would provide that space for you.
