About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Becky, a Psychotherapist offering face-to-face sessions in Bromley, South London and online. I trained as a Personal Consultant and thus can offer you a unique combination of counselling and coaching to help you resolve past issues while also exploring your future journey.

We all face difficult issues at some times in our lives. You might be experiencing anxiety, depression or relationship difficulties or have experienced a bereavement or trauma in your life. Maybe you are struggling with various aspects of parenting. Whatever it is, you might be lying awake at night, wishing things were different.

If you are struggling with a problem, feeling stuck, or want to make some life changes, I offer a safe space to open up, explore and rebalance.

I have a degree in Psychology (1st class honours), a Post-graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching (Distinction). I am a registered member of the BACP and am trained in bereavement counselling through St Christophers Hospice. I am qualified to deliver a variety of Parenting Programmes as well as training for professionals in the Family Partnership Model - through the Maudsley. I have over 20 years’ experience working with a wide range of individuals.

Practice description

I am an Integrative Therapist offering face-to-face sessions in Bromley and online. What is an ‘integrative approach’? It might sound technical, but it’s rooted in a very simple idea. There is no one size that fits all. No single, golden theory that solves every problem. My work will be tailored specifically to you: techniques and expertise adapted to your preferences, your issues, your goals.

I offer both Therapeutic Counselling and also Parent Coaching.

Therapeutic Counselling - This begins with listening to your story and your reasons for reaching out. Your needs are unique, and this is the start for our journey together. Using the Personal Consultancy framework, we will first explore your situation, helping you to gain insight, rebalance your inner world and create greater harmony. Sometimes our thoughts and beliefs, which have served us well in the past, can be what is now holding us back. Together, we can identify a path forward for you to make tangible changes in your life. By working collaboratively, I will help you make long-term changes and support you to find the solution within you and realise your potential.

My approach is genuine, compassionate and empathic and I will always keep your wellbeing at the centre of our work.

The relationship between client and therapist/coach is unique, built on respect and trust. It is different to what we have with our friends/ family and that is key to the healing process. It will allow you to explore sensitive issues without judgement, the freedom to reflect in a safe and confidential environment and work towards your own goals, at your own pace.

Parent Coaching - I can work alongside you in a non-judgemental way to help you build confidence in your parenting. We will work collaboratively to build on your current strengths/skills, to bring joy to your parenting. I will give you the parenting tools and strategies to help you achieve your goals so you can deepen your relationships and see your child thrive.

My first session

It is important you find a counsellor with whom you feel totally comfortable and safe. That’s why I offer a free initial 15-minute discussion which allows you to get a feel for how we can work together and gives you the chance to ask any questions you may have. I hope you will find me to be a warm, friendly and compassionate person. Following this discussion, we can set up regular face-to-face or online meetings. But if for any reason we don’t proceed together, I will always try to signpost you to an alternative service.

Our first session involves me listening to you, hearing about what brought you and finding out what you would like to achieve from our sessions together. We will always go at your pace, in a gentle manner, focusing on the challenges/issues you want to bring.

If this sounds like what you are looking for, please get in touch by email, text message or phone call.
