About me and my therapy practice
Do you suffer from high levels of anxiety, self-doubt, and a tendency to be self-critical, blaming yourself for the difficulties you face? Maybe you have high standards, are a perfectionist, and ambitious in wanting to drive yourself forward, but feel stuck in the past or continually repeat patterns which do not help you? At times, you feel lost and confused about how to achieve what you want from life. You may have tried hard to work on yourself, but feel very alone and 'stuck'. And this negative stress could be affecting your self-esteem, work, friendships, family, and relationships. Perhaps, you do not wish to trouble a partner, or a friend who may feel burdened, and yet you recognise that you need support to attract the positive changes you want to achieve in your life. As a BACP therapist, I have the expertise, training and empathy to help you progress.
I work with adults and older teenagers online.
Email now for a free consultation.
Specialist areas:
- anxiety,depression,
- loss, grief, bereavement, feeling sad,

I may also draw on mindfulness strategies and visualisation techniques enabling you to imagine a desired future pathway. I work with each client as an individual so their treatment is bespoke to them.)

About me and my therapy practice
I can offer 'one off' supervision, or peer supervision to a qualified counsellor, and am also interested in working with trainee counsellors . My approach is relational, humanistic, and integrative.
My style is to be supportive, but I will also gently challenge you to support your professional growth and insights, whilst also ensuring clients' well-being. I am an avid reader in the field of counselling and love doing new courses-most recently in REWIND to help process trauma, creative approaches and somatic healing.
Should you be interested in working with me, I can offer you a free 15 min phone consultation to establish whether or not we would be a good fit and for you to share what you need from supervision.
Practice description
I run a successful, busy, full-time, private practice in York helping clients with a range of presentations ( anxiety, depression, work stress, LGBTQ + issues, ADHD, relationship issues, grief/ loss, and trauma).
Prior to this, I worked for two different counselling charities as a volunteer counsellor over a 5 year period, and also worked for Better Help as an online therapist for a short time.
I completed my Supervision Diploma with Jane Warford from Leeds LCPD.
My first session
On our first session, I will ask you about where you are with your counselling career, your experience of Supervision and what you would like from Supervision.
I will go through a Supervision contract with you to establish how to work together in a collaborative and productive way.
