CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
‘Daniel helped me out of one of the darkest points in my life. He is genuine, kind and understanding, and helped me rationalise my problems and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Speaking to him was always the highlight of my week and he’s changed my outlook on life completely. I am a much happier and thankful person today thanks to him’ (testimonial by N.S)
'Daniel helped me interrogate my actions around alcohol misuse. I was able to identify and address the consequences of my behaviours, both towards myself and others. I am now able to recognise certain events / situations / circumstances which are more likely to end negatively and take ownership of my decisions. Daniel's approach was supportive and observant. His help has been invaluable.' (testimonial by C.N)
"Daniel was a great help to me during a difficult period of my life and gave me useful tools which have helped to limit the damage from bouts of emotional instability. He has a warm demeanour and curated a secure environment where I felt comfortable to share my feelings and experiences. I would recommend Daniel as a therapist to anyone." (testimonial by G.P)
“We had known for a while that our communication had stalled and our relationship was suffering as a result. Contacting Daniel and starting couples counselling was the best decision we made. From the very first session his openness and non-judgemental approach put us at ease. He was able to be that fair and validating voice for us both, asking the right questions to help us articulate how and why we felt frustrated and disconnected. He encouraged us to really listen to each other, to actually hear and register the important bits that had been getting drowned out by busy lives and pent up feelings. The course of sessions with Daniel has been genuinely restorative and helped us ‘reset’. We’re so grateful - for his time, his flexibility and his candour - and wouldn’t hesitate to recruit his skills again in the future.” (K,M)

PROFILE
In today's uncertain world, it's unsurprising that so many of us become overwhelmed with anxiety, or weighed down by sadness. It is understandable and all too common that we spiral into negative thinking or look for unhealthy pacifiers to calm or dampen feelings that become difficult to control.
Working within the NHS and with a variety of counselling and treatment agencies, I’ve helped many individuals and couples to overcome these challenges. By providing a safe space to talk, insight into behaviour patterns and strategies for change, counselling has allowed them to put less pressure on themselves and their loved ones and begin to look again at life as something to enjoy.
However, it’s not just my professional resume which allows me to help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and addictions; or couples struggling to recover from conflict, breakdown or infidelity. The varied and often challenging times in my own personal journey are the foundations upon which my abilities as a therapist are built. Whilst it is essential as therapists that we understand how every person’s journey is different, experience has taught me that to walk alongside those coping with trauma, abuse or addiction, it helps enormously if you’ve overcome challenges yourself.
I should clarify that psychotherapy is not always about dealing with complex problems. A counselling session is also an opportunity to reflect and explore new perspectives and possibilities. A safe space where you will be not just listened to, but truly heard. A launch pad for a future of greater balance and contentment.
I work in a warm, supportive, and accepting way, helping clients to unlock their own resources, find new meanings and identify solutions.

Counselling for Couples and Individuals.
Working within the NHS and with a variety of counselling and treatment agencies, I’ve helped many individuals and couples to overcome these challenges. A safe space where you will be not just listened to, but truly heard. A launch pad for a future of greater balance and contentment.
Studies have shown that as many as 85% of people felt a marked decrease in symptoms and an increased quality of life after counselling. These numbers go some way to prove what I see every day - most people begin therapy feeling bad and they leave therapy feeling better. It really is that simple.
I work in a warm, supportive, and accepting way, helping clients to unlock their own resources, find new meanings and identify solutions.

'My husband and I saw Daniel over several weeks during a difficult time in our marriage. We were struggling to communicate and the issues we were facing felt very overwhelming and often insurmountable. However, after just a few sessions with Daniel, the problems we faced no longer felt so challenging. He provided a safe, non-judgemental environment, which allowed us to more easily have the conversations we had been struggling with. We would not hesitate to recommend Daniel to anyone, and he has been crucial in helping us reexamine our relationship and move forward together in a much healthier place.' (N & M)

PROFILE - Couples Therapist
Often, we can become stuck in the same repetitive patterns of conflict, the same criticisms, and resentments. What can start as an innocuous comment can escalate quickly into a familiar spiral of increasing anger and recrimination. As a trained and experienced therapist, I can help you recognise the reasons for this spiralling and enable you to not only deescalate, but also avoid the destructive pattern in the first place.
Where communication has broken down, trust has been lost, or intimacy and sex have become difficult in a relationship, couples counselling can provide the space needed to get back to talking to each other again with empathy and care. We can traverse the difficult terrain of broken trust and find a way to live, not for a hurtful past but for a hopeful future. Sex and intimacy can transform from the silent, lonely and sometime painful chasm between you, into the open, healthy cornerstone of the relationship that you remember it to be.
Reach out to schedule a free initial chat and we can work towards creating a stronger and more resilient relationship that will stand the test of time.
