About me and my therapy practice
I'm Sage, an accredited integrative counsellor, psychotherapist, and coach. I use a blend of approaches to support clients with a wide range of issues, such as:
• Feeling stuck, going in circles, or procrastinating on important tasks;
• Overwhelmed by anxiety, waking up each day consumed by worry, and unsure how to move forward;
• Struggling with work-related stress, feeling burnt out, or dreading the thought of going to work;
• Experiencing difficulties in relationships—whether with a partner, family member, or colleague—and not knowing the best way to resolve them;
• Low self-worth, self-esteem, or self-confidence, questioning who you are and feeling powerless to change.
Yes, life is hard, challenging, and full of uncertainty! But it is also beautiful, exciting, rich, and meaningful! And therapy can help you find ways to go through that difficult patch in your life, find yourself, become more emotionally aware and able to regulate yourself, gain more control over your brain, work on breaking the unhealthy limiting beliefs, and come up with more constructive thinking patterns.
I can relate to your struggles because I’ve been there myself (and still am from time to time:) Counselling helped me connect with my emotions, understand the reasons behind them and my low self-esteem, and build the confidence I once lacked. I’ve experienced first-hand how therapy can transform lives by helping you connect with your inner self, unbury your self-worth, set boundaries, and build the assertiveness you might not even realise you need. The intense anxiety that often left me immobile is something I’ve learned to manage, and I’m passionate about helping others do the same.
Practice description
I’ll listen to you about your struggles and help you to find where they stem from, process your emotions and cope with them, change your thoughts and behaviour, plan how to achieve your goals, and move forward. I’ll be next to you and assist you to recognise your values and what brings meaning and contentment in your life; acknowledge your strengths and build a more self-compassionate and less self-critical attitude toward yourself and the people around you.
My first session
Our first session will begin with some assessment questionnaires and a quick run-through of the necessary paperwork. We'll also discuss what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. Together, we can begin to plan our future sessions, focusing on your current concerns, goals, and expectations.
