About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome!
You have taken the first steps towards your therapeutic journey. It feels important to firstly, acknowledge how natural it is to feel many different and possibly intense emotions before beginning therapy. I encourage you, to allow yourself to feel what you need to and take things at your own pace. Choosing the right therapist is an important part of the process.
I am a warm, empathic and non-judgmental therapist, offering a safe and calm environment for you to freely express yourself and feel heard. My modality is humanistic, which means we work in a way that feels comfortable for you, giving you the autonomy to process your experiences, thoughts and feelings in a time frame that you feel ok with. Throughout our work together I am happy to offer ideas from my tool kit that may help your therapeutic process of self-exploration. I am creative therapist who is open to working with what the client needs. I also, work through somatic experiencing which can also be a helpful way to process.
In my experience as a therapist, I have found that the relationship is the true therapy and through this, you can develop a deeper sense of trust, safety and connection, not only with me but most importantly yourself. In turn, this will help you identify and explore your most hidden and deep-rooted difficulties, finding freedom and empowerment in understanding yourself at a much deeper level. My hope is through this you will gain a stronger sense of self and have the confidence to make the changes you wish to see in your life.
When struggling to make sense of the world, and experiencing overwhelming thoughts and emotions, the therapeutic journey can be a transformative process if you allow yourself to take the steps.
Practice description
Within my practice, I am flexible to work with what suits you. I offer face to face sessions, online, over the telephone and do walk and talk therapy.
My first session
I offer an initial 15-minute free consultation where you have the opportunity to ask any questions and explore any thoughts/feelings you may have regarding starting therapy. Following this, we can then discuss what feels right for you going forward.
