About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes we all need an extra bit of space, or time, just for us. A time to place all the pieces of the puzzle of our lives. My goal is to accompany you on your journey through any challenges.
Hopefully together we can empower you to change what you want to change, grow through your struggles and start to move forward to where you want to be in your life.
I am kind, caring, compassionate and honest. I will be by your side to support you to find ways to process, understand and hopefully resolve things which are making you worried, stressed, confused or unhappy in life.
You maybe feeling anxious, low mood, unmotivated or simply unhappy in yourself, sometimes not even knowing why
You might be self harming or thinking life is challenging you in all areas. You might be struggling with family, relationships, loss. Maybe it is work, school or college that seems too hard... or maybe its your confidence, self-esteem and self-worth that might need boosting, or confusion or worry surrounding sexuality or gender. Any of these things we can explore together to try to help you find things such as clarity, peace, confidence and purpose.
I work in an inclusive way and welcome a diverse range of people from all walks of life. I have counselled people from ages ranging 11 to 89. I am an ally for members of LGBTQ+ community, and I increasingly work with people surrounding identity gender or sexuality issues.
I have much experience counselling young people through several companies/charities as well as in private practice. This work often includes issues such as self-harm, bullying, self-esteem, Autism and ADHD. I enjoy using creative methods when possible, if a client would like. I also have additional training surrounding bereavement.

My first session
I offer a free 30 minute 'getting to know you' session so we can assess how we would work together, or if someone else might be a better fit. An important aspect in counselling is the relationship forged between us, and so it is beneficial to introduce ourselves to each other prior to commencing sessions - the magic is in the Counsellor/Client relationship!
It also allows me to gather some basic details and for you to tell me about what brings you to therapy and your hopes and goals for the sessions, so we could get an idea of how we would work together.
