About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor with proven experience in supporting clients. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions.
I have the skills to counsel couples and individuals with addictions and mental health issues. I have experience working with clients with anger, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders, panic attacks, self-esteem, self-harm, stress, suicidal feelings/thoughts, and trauma. I enjoy working with anybody.
I currently work as a volunteer therapist with Frontline19 where I counsel NHS staff and with the Living Room counselling individuals with various addictions and mental health issues.
Practice description
My aim is to help you better understand their current emotional or psychological difficulties and support them to find ways to ultimately improve their psychological well-being. To actively listen to them and provide a safe space for them.
I am therapeutically equipped to explore emotional imbalances and deeper issues. I do not just work through the past and stop at the present but can explore your future, how I would like it to look, and explore how you can get there.
My therapeutic work involves active listening, understanding, exploration, and support. This will assist you to reflect on your experience and work together to unpack your feelings and thoughts that can cause you to feel confused, disturbed, distressed, and stuck.
I can explore how to maintain change, what you would like to do with your insights, and how you can continue to develop. I provide a non-judgemental space to explore and facilitate change and work with clients to establish a safe therapeutic relationship to work through those issues that requires change.
