About me and my therapy practice
You may be wondering if therapy is right for you at this point in time. Coming to therapy can be the first steps to understanding yourself better. I can help you to uncover why you might feel stuck, frustrated or even confused.
I started my counselling journey many years ago when I found myself lost in a dark and uncomfortable place. The path I have travelled has brought me here today.
We all need a helping hand at certain cross-roads in our lives, counselling can support you through these difficult times. Talking to a person who is not entwined in your life can help relieve some of the anxiety or stress. I offer a warm safe space where there is freedom to share personal issues without being judged.
I work with a wide range of issues including loss, anger, anxiety, depression, self worth, trust, childhood issues, bereavement and attachment patterns.
I have many years of experience working with people including parents and carers struggling with a range of difficulties including grief, loss, addiction and abuse.
Practice description
I am a BACP registered integrative counsellor and fully comply with it's Ethical Framework.
I currently offer in person therapy and Zoom. I also offer Walk 'n' Talk sessions outside in open spaces.
My first session
Before we decide to work together I offer an initial 20 minute telephone consultation. This is a time that you can share your hopes and expectations of counselling and you can ask me any questions you might have. This is a chance to see if we can work together and for me to asses if I can help you with your needs.
If we decide to work together we would have weekly 50 minute sessions for an agreed period of time.
Types of therapy
Behavioural, Brief therapy, Cognitive, Integrative, Person centred, Psychodynamic, Relational, Transpersonal
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Young people
How I deliver therapy
Long term sessions, Long-term face-to-face work, Online therapy, Outdoor therapy, Short term sessions, Short-term face-to-face work, Time-limited
