About me and my therapy practice

What's keeping you awake at night?

Whether it’s day to day life getting you down, a specific, current issue or something from your past that keeps cropping up and bothering you, let’s talk about it.

Choosing who to share this stuff with is half the battle. I've been the client myself and know how difficult it can be to find the right counsellor. Let me tell you a little bit about some of the issues I have supported people with, and you can see how you feel then.

Clients often come to me to talk about their bereavement following the loss of a loved one. This can be recent or past, human or animal. I have supported many people through their loss, helping them to make sense of their feelings and to find ways of coping.

The term ‘loss’ also encompasses many other things and so being able to identify and name life experiences as losses worthy of grief can be an important part of making sense of how you are feeling.

For instance, have you received a difficult heath diagnosis or are you navigating fertility treatment? I am extremely passionate about these issues, and they are ones I hold close to my heart.

Do you...

Feel lost and uncertain about what your future holds? Feel as though your body is failing you and you’re frightened, anxious and worried? Find it really hard to make plans? Always put on a brave face? Feel ‘I’m running out of time’? Feel like nobody ever seems to understand? Feel jealous of others and are guilty or ashamed of that.

If you would like to find out more, please contact me and we can arrange to have a chat about what you are hoping for right now.

My first session

If you've reached this section, thank you for taking the time to read, I'm sure you've seen a few profiles already. If you’re still not sure but feel a little more curious, I do offer a free 20-minute introductory call so you can ask any questions you might have and to get a feel for me as your potential counsellor. It is a really good way for us both to learn a little more about one another and to see if working together would be helpful for you.

Once we have spoken and you would then like to book your first session, we will agree a convenient day and time and this usually will become your regular session time.

Virtual/online sessions are weekly and usually, will be on the same day, at the same time. I offer both short-term and long-term support and usually discuss what you would like this to be during our first session.
