About me and my therapy practice

Whether traumatic events have occurred or a certain way of being has evolved over time, if we are not true to who we are, or issues have not been processed, feelings often manifest themselves in making us feel out of balance. Therapy helps to resolve emotions and bring a sense of peace, allowing you to become the real you.
Practice description
My name is Caroline and I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist (MBACP), which means I can draw on several theories as needed by my clients (person centred, psychodynamic and CBT). Making the decision to enter therapy is a brave one and requires a genuine connection with your therapist. It is this aspect that is key to how I work. Over the years, working with many different clients, one thing stays constant - the relationship. Clients have remarked that when working with me, they have felt heard and seen in a way they have not experienced before.

The space created between us can be beneficial in several ways:
• It can be time devoted to you, allowing you to hear and think for yourself, coming to a better understanding of your feelings
• A non-judgemental place to offload issues which burden you
• A space to consider how you have come to feel as you do and any changes you would like to make to your life.
Whatever the reasons which have led you to this point, I genuinely believe that through our work together you can work through and process the emotions and issues which are negatively affecting you. It is completely your time and your space, for how you choose to change….

My first session
After an initial, free telephone conversation our first session will be arranged.
At this first meeting a short assessment will be completed, so I can understand exactly what it is you are looking to achieve and if there's anything that needs to be known about for the purposes of the work. I will also go through what you can expect from our work together and relevant paperwork will be completed.
