About me and my therapy practice
I’m a qualified Mental Health Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the American Counseling Association (ACA). I hold an MSc in Mental Health Counselling and a BA in Psychology from Niagara University, New York, and have been practising in London, UK.
I specialise in treating a wide range of mental health and behavioural issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, and life transitions. I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups, offering therapies like individual psychotherapy, trauma counselling, and relapse prevention. My approach is person-centred, focusing on creating a safe, empathetic space where you can explore your feelings and experiences.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll identify the underlying issues, set goals, and work toward healing and personal growth. You don’t have to face these challenges alone—reach out today to begin your journey of self-discovery and positive change.
Practice description
I use a combination of Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to create a tailored approach that fits your unique needs. Together, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy, challenge unhelpful thoughts, process emotions, and build mindfulness for greater balance. This integrative approach ensures you feel supported and empowered.
My goal as a therapist is to help you overcome challenges, improve your quality of life, and empower you to become your best self.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation, during which we can assess the alignment of my therapeutic approach and whether I am the right counsellor to support your needs. In this session, we will discuss your goals and concerns, allowing us to determine if our work together is the right match. To book this initial session, we will need to arrange a convenient time—please reach out to me, and we’ll schedule a time that works best for both of us.
If we agree to move forward, we'll set up a plan for weekly sessions. I will then send you therapy forms to complete, including a counselling agreement, contract, and relevant questionnaires. These will include a wellbeing assessment and commonly used tools like the GAD-7 for anxiety and the PHQ-9 for depression, along with any other assessments that may be needed. This process helps ensure we’re aligned in our work together and that we’re addressing the areas most important to you.
