About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I qualified in 2020 at Level 4 and am currently undertaking a Level 6 trauma course.
I feel that counselling is where I have been heading towards for years, the path I took had a few diversions but I eventually arrived here. I am naturally warm and empathetic and can provide you with a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space.
Stress, anxiety, depression, or any overwhelm of emotions can have a real impact on all areas of life including our physical health. There can be times where we are barely functioning, and can be in emotional or physical pain, yet we carry on, our mind and body is on alert, waiting for the danger; it doesn't have to be like that all of the time.
From 2019 to February 2023, alongside my private practice, I was a volunteer counsellor for a local mental health charity in Wiltshire. I now volunteer for a charity in Guildford.
Practice description
My counselling approach is based upon integrative counselling and is primarily non-directive, based upon the person centred approach. There are many reasons why we look to enter into counselling, each one individual to us. You may feel disconnected; on edge; feeling low; anxious, the list goes on. If your emotions are impacting you, then try a few counselling sessions.
I offer you a safe environment where you can choose which issue you wish to work on and to take the lead in exploring what it is that troubles you. It is my role to empower you and help you explore the reasons behind these overwhelming emotions.
I offer online and face to face sessions, both during the daytime and in the evening.
My first session
I offer all new clients a 30 minute session, free of charge .
This enables you to:
- meet and become familiar with me and experience what it feels like to talk with me, to find out if you are comfortable doing so
- to discuss your support needs and how I might meet them
You are then able to make an informed decision as to whether working together is right for you. If you feel you would like to proceed from there , we will would engage in sessions held at the same time each week
