About me and my therapy practice

I aim to promote wellbeing by providing a safe and therapeutic environment for those in the Mid Ulster area. Through counselling, you can confidentially discuss and reflect on your challenges, experiences, emotions, fears, and worries - whatever may be troubling you.

I adhere to professional and ethical practice, which entails valuing individuals and practising with integrity and respect.

Practice description

I practice person-centred therapy, which focuses on your strengths and offers an environment of acceptance, genuineness, and empathy to facilitate change and growth.

I am trained in integrative and pluralistic methods and draw techniques from various forms of psychotherapy, such as psychodynamic, CBT, and ACT.

I believe in building strong relationships and showing empathy, and I find that working together on agreed objectives leads to more successful results.

I also incorporate mindfulness and relaxation techniques into sessions to help clients feel rested and peaceful.

If requested, I am comfortable exploring issues from a Christian perspective and working with the spiritual dimension of life.

My first session

I can schedule a call or a brief Zoom meeting to discuss your therapy goals and provide more information. This will also help us determine if we would be a good fit.

In our first session, we will begin with an assessment to gather background information and establish the focus of our work together. Later, we will discuss your preferences for counselling. Recognizing your desires and expectations from therapy is important, as it helps us stay in sync.

I am dedicated to supporting counselling students amidst the increasing demand for new counsellors. I am offering student therapy sessions for £40 per session. This rate can be contracted for the required therapy hours or any part thereof.
