About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified, experienced and BACP-accredited counsellor. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which to explore whatever is troubling you. I will listen and reflect, offering empathy, kindness and compassion.
I support individuals with a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, low self-esteem and bereavement/loss.
I offer sessions both in person (from therapy rooms in Stroud or Cirencester) and also online (via Zoom). Sessions are at a regular time each week and last for 50 minutes.
Alongside my private practice, I work within a counselling service and as a secondary school counsellor.
Practice description
As a psychodynamic counsellor, my approach is to explore and reflect upon thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be causing you distress, stemming from both the past and present. Sessions are an opportunity for you to make sense of what you are experiencing in a calm, confidential and unpressurised way.
Exploring thoughts and feelings can enable you to better understand yourself, your life and your relationships. It can help with seeing things from a different perspective, making positive changes, and developing strategies and resilience in response to life's challenges.
My first session
Following initial contact via email or phone, we would have a 50-minute assessment session which can either be done online or face-to-face. This would give us the opportunity to talk about what is bringing you to counselling and what your hopes might be. The cost of this would be £55.
If we agree to work together after this, we would meet on a weekly, open-ended basis with regular reviews. Alternatively, we could agree to work to a fixed number of sessions.
What I can help with
