About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Libby. I am a BACP and UKCP registered psychotherapist and counsellor based in Marylebone and Notting Hill, London.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, or you are simply looking for a quiet space to reflect, I aim to provide a warm, relaxed and confidential environment for you to consider your life, your feelings, what is important to you and how you might want to move forward.

My job is to listen to you with compassion, openness and curiosity and to help you come to a better understanding of yourself and your situation.

I try not to offer any fixed ideas or advice: I believe it is more helpful for you to come to decisions about your own life. Instead we work collaboratively to come to a better understanding of your difficulties. Together we may notice patterns in thoughts and behaviours, make connections to the past and gently challenge ways of being that no longer serve you. It is also a space for you to simply be. Without expectation. And see what comes up .

I may invite you to slow down and focus on your moment-to-moment embodied responses in order to foster a deep and vital connection with your lived experience. To take you out of your head and into your body's wisdom.

Sharing your story, thoughts and feelings, and allowing yourself to be truly seen by a trained professional, can foster healing, growth, self-compassion and self-understanding. It helps you to become more responsive and less reactive. It's a powerful process, a journey that cannot help but change us both, and it is my privilege to be alongside you.

Practice description

I practice in a lovely bright room on Queen Anne Street, a 7 minute walk from Bond Street station. There is a small waiting area and toilets are available.

My other practice is on Holland Park Avenue.

I also offer online sessions.

I have a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling as well as an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy, both from Regent's University London.

I am a registered member of the BACP, as well as the UKCP and abide by their codes of ethics.
