About me and my therapy practice
Currently I work in private practice and for a number of Private Health Insurers. I also receive referrals from voluntary organisations, particularly those working with Gender Based Violence and Childhood Sexual Abuse.
I am a BACP Senior Psychotherapist/EMDR Practitioner, with experience of working in Mental Health within the NHS in the field of Complex Trauma (CPTSD), as a part time lecturer (Glasgow Caledonian University), Senior Tutor on the Diploma in Human Relations and Counselling (Human Development Scotland/ Napier University) and as COSCA registered trainer and Supervisor. My research interests include sitting on an NHS Research Ethics Committee and carrying out research in the field of counselling and complex psychological trauma.

Practice description
I am aware of how hard it can be to take the first step to ask for help and aim to offer a compassionate, caring and professional approach to individual clients and to couples. I am always happy to discuss any concerns by telephone before arranging a first appointment.
My first session
During the first assessment session we will discuss your current and past mental health difficulties and your hopes for the outcome of therapy. I will offer some feedback on the discussion in order that we can agree on the best way forward. This would often be agreeing to an initial 6 sessions ( weekly or fortnightly) with a review thereafter.What I can help with

Availability
The majority of my supervision is online, via Zoom Teams or Skype. Normally I work with supervisees on Wednesdays and Thursdays but I am happy to discuss individual needs.
About me and my therapy practice
I work with professionals from the NHS and fields of Social Work, Art and Music Psychotherapy as well as Counselling and Psychotherapy. I hope to provide a warm and empathic environment for supervision, where the client's difficulties can be explored and reflected upon. I offer a reduced fee to counselling students in training.

Practice description
I am keen that supervisees feel supported and held by our work together and that we have fairly regular reviews to ensure that practitioners are getting what they need from the sessions. I am also happy to offer professional mentoring as part of our work.

All being well we will then agree to 6 sessions of supervision with a review at that point. I would also encourage supervisees to discuss at any point, concerns or worries about the process.
