About me and my therapy practice
I am a counsellor specialising in sex and relationship issues. My clients tell me that I'm down to earth and easy to talk to which I consider invaluable as we work together to create the safe space to navigate the issues which bring you to seek help.
In addition to BACP membership I am also COSRT registered having undertaken two years specialist study in psychosexual and relationships.
Practice description
I work with individuals to address specific sexual concerns which are psychological rather than physiologically based. These include vaginismus, ED, premature/delayed ejaculation, low/no libido, anorgasmia, painful sex, performance anxiety, sexual trauma, kink and compulsive sexual behaviour incl problematic porn use.
I also work with couples/poly through relationship change, including life transitions, ageing, illness, conflict, infidelity, mismatched desire, and blended families. I welcome relationship diversity. I am particularly passionate to support couples who are struggling to rekindle intimate connection following life transitions.
Therapy can be both short or long term, and on occasion a single session is sufficient.
I work face-to-face and online.
I undertake continuous professional development to ensure that my knowledge and skills remain up-to-date.
My first session
Taking the first step is daunting and I like to make it as easy as possible. I offer a free, no obligation 20 min exploratory session for individuals to enable you to ask questions, share concerns and establish how therapy may help. Clients are invited to register on my online portal, where they will be able to access my diary and book an online session at a convenient time.
For relationship work, it is important that both/all parties are equally invested in the process and so I invite you to take the plunge and book an initial assessment session, at the end of which you can decide if you think it will be helpful to continue.
