About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel you are never good enough or have you lost your self-worth?

Are you a people pleaser and always put others first?

Are you ADHD or think you might be?

Would you like to regard ADHD with compassion and acceptance?

ABOUT ME

I started my own therapy as I was fed up feeling depressed and not good enough, I wanted something to change. Sitting with a therapist who I learned to trust and who really listened with empathy and compassion was so powerful for me. I was able to accept all the parts of myself and realise I was actually OK.

"My drive to become a therapist has always been to give my clients the amazing and life changing experience I had in my own therapy."

Practice description

MY EXPERIENCE

I am an experienced BACP registered counselling therapist with proven experience supporting a diverse range of clients in private practice, education and the community.

I have helped a lot of adults with low self worth, perfectionism and imposter syndrome feel better about themselves.

SPECIAL INTERESTS

ADHD

As an ND therapist, I have a deep understanding through lived and professional experience of adult/late diagnosed ADHD and can help you process your own ADHD self-diagnosis/diagnosis. An ADHD diagnosis is really just the beginning.

I work in an ND affirming way with ADHD. This means we will work together to see ADHD as a difference not a disorder, I can help you to view yourself and ADHD with compassion and kindness.

Together we will look at the impact of RSD, executive function challenges, the need for autonomy, body doubling, neurodivergent nervous system/emotional regulation, masking, trauma, and Impulsivity.

DAUGHTERS OF NARCISSISTIC/EMOTIONALLY ABSENT MOTHERS

I have a particular interest in working with daughters of narcissistic/ emotionally absent mothers and the long term impact of childhood emotional neglect on depression and self esteem.

I have experience of working with the following:

Depression

Low mood

Low self-esteem

Low self-confidence

Imposter Syndrome

High expectations and perfectionism

Anxiety, generalised anxiety, social anxiety

Emotional neglect

Attachment
