About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, helpless or stuck. Exploring this with a professional can help you to gain a greater sense of understanding of and control over how you feel. As your counsellor I will provide you with the space and support you need to do this. With me you can share your thoughts and feelings, express your fears and anxieties without fear of judgment, and identify the areas you may want to work on in order to move forwards toward a more positive and fulfilling life.
My own life experiences have taught me how important it is for us to learn to accept ourselves. By this I mean having more compassion for why we are the way we are, and from there think about what we would like to change. And I know that it isn’t always easy. The first step is to acknowledge that you want more from life. The second is to reach out for the help and support you need for your journey. I can provide that support.
I work relationally to help clients build the self-awareness and self-esteem they need to live a more fulfilled life. My role in this is to be a companion. Together we will look at your experiences and your relationships, both past and present, and explore the ways these have shaped you into the person you are today, and how they might be impacting your current life.
Practice description
I provide a broad-based therapeutic service to adults of all ages and backgrounds, guaranteeing a confidential, safe and non-judgmental space for my clients. I will always work at your pace and with your wellbeing in mind.
I have experience of working with a wide range of needs, both specific (depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use) and general (feelings of isolation and helplessness, feeling stuck, lacking a sense of purpose or meaning in life).
I can provide both short-term solution-focused therapy and longer-term deeper work on the self.
