About me and my therapy practice
Do you need an opportunity to take time out; to find or restore that sense of self.
Sometimes, we struggle through alone until we find our way, but then there are those other times when we may need someone else to sit with our feelings, to hear our thoughts and understand our concerns.
The idea of counselling may feel daunting, it’s not unusual to feel apprehensive.
Counselling offers a safe and supportive space for you to share your thoughts and emotions, without any fear of being judged.
As an integrative counsellor, I combine different therapeutic ideas and tools to guide my work, enabling me to offer a bespoke counselling experience which adapts to your needs and circumstances.
Practice description
As your counsellor, my primary focus is you and how best I can support you to explore your situation.
I have over 15 years experience providing specialist pastoral support, having worked in the further Education sector.
As a skilled mentor and coach, I trained in therapeutic counselling, and after leaving an organisational setting, I now provide counselling within my private practice.
I offer the choice of face-to-face, telephone or video sessions.
All sessions are an hour in length, usually taking place once a week, and the total number of sessions is not limited.
My first session
Further to you getting in touch, I carry out a pre-therapy phone call, in order to establish your counselling needs and answer any questions. This lasts no more than 15 minutes, and there is no charge nor obligation to proceed with therapy.
At your first session, I will find out more about you and the reasons for which you are seeking counselling.
