About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Kate Gregory. I'm a BACP registered counsellor, offering 1:1 counselling to adults. This can be short or long term depending on your needs. I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space in which to explore your feelings, thoughts and experiences.
I offer counselling for issues including anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, low self-esteem, feeling stuck and unmotivated, questions of identity, and adapting to life changes.
Counselling can help you to look at a particular issue that is worrying you, to make sense of complex and difficult feelings, to explore deeply rooted issues, or simply to understand yourself better.
In addition to my private practice, I have worked as a counsellor in a local counselling agency and for a counselling service for carers. My therapeutic work is supported by over 20 years' experience working with university students with mental health difficulties. Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly and last 50 minutes. The cost is £60 per session. A concessionary rate may be available for counselling students.
My approach to counselling and psychotherapy is integrative, meaning that I have been trained to adapt different therapeutic models to suit your specific needs.
Practice description
Currently I am seeing clients face to face in a comfortable therapy room in Cheltenham, or online using Zoom.
I offer a free, no-obligation phone call or Zoom call to talk through any questions before making a booking. Please feel free to contact me and leave a message at any time.
You can get in touch by phone or by sending an email using the link on this page. I aim to respond to new client enquiries within 2 working days.
My first session
The first session is always an assessment session, allowing you to talk about why you feel that counselling would be helpful. It also lets you get to know me and to decide if you are happy to continue with counselling. If we decide to continue, we then discuss the number of sessions we might undertake (a set number with a review, or open ended work) and we agree upon a regular time for the sessions.
