Availability
I work in private practice on Monday to Thursday from 10am and my last appointment is 7pm. On Mondays I work until 8pm. Earlier or later appointments can be discussed
I try to answer calls and emails on the day they come in except on Sundays. Sometimes my emails go to junk so where possible I send a message to let you know I've emailed.
If getting to my room is difficult for you I offer home visits within a 20 minute drive of Southend and usually do these in the morning.
Please call or message me if you have any queries about my availability. I'd be happy to talk to you.
About me and my therapy practice
My aim is to put you at the heart of the session, enabling you to talk about issues that are troubling you, in a quiet, calm and confidential space. You will not be judged but you will be listened to and heard.
Sometimes you may not even be sure what those issues are but together we can find a way to cope with the challenges life brings and I will be by your side as we explore those challenges and your feelings about them.
I am easy to talk to and understand how hard it can be to take the first step and make that call. Rest assured I will always treat you with kindness and empathy.
My clients come with a variety of issues, and I have experience dealing with grief, family breakdown, feeling lost, depression and anxiety.
You may be going through changes in your life that you are struggling to come to terms with and talking these through can be really helpful. I have experience working with younger people and the challenges you face in society today that may leave you feeling lost or overwhelmed, relationships, home life, changing or finding careers.
I also work with clients coming to terms with health issues, loss or family problems. Isolation can be an issue and if you have lost your confidence it can be hard to get out and see people. Talking to somebody unconnected can help put things into perspective and give you the impetus you need to change things.
I am always kind, respectful and run the sessions at your own pace.
Practice description
My practice has a room in Southchurch and Leigh-On-Sea and I can see you face to face.
I also offer video counselling and have taken an extra qualification so you can be confident in the care I offer.
I offer walking, talking sessions if you feel more comfortable sharing while on the move. I have a well trodden route along the seafront that I use for this.
We will find a way to discuss those difficult feelings, bereavement, menopause, identity, depression or anxiety that helps you to look at your issues and find a way through.

If you would like to discuss the sessions I offer an initial free 15 minute phone call at a time to suit you.

I see clients with a multitude of issues and have experience in grief counselling, anxiety, depression, the psychological fallout from the menopause, family breakdown, identity issues and addiction.
I have some younger clients struggling with the world at the moment and we can focus on relationships, family, starting a career or taking the next step, issues around starting a family and the anxiety this may bring.
Others come to work through changing identity, gender, sexuality and working out who they are and who they want to be. I can be by your side to support you through these changes.
