About me and my therapy practice
Are you consumed by self-doubt?
Do you always put the needs of others before your own?
It could be that you would like to have a better understanding of your feelings and how they get triggered.
Therapy provides a safe space to explore alternative ways of coping with the challenge’s that life can present.
I am an experienced and qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor providing a non-judgmental and confidential environment where you are treated with respect and sensitivity.
I am committed to continuous professional as well as personal development and have regular supervision with a senior practitioner.
Practice description
I specialise in bereavement counselling, stress, and anxiety related issues.
I have a keen interest in Attachment Theory and working with the unresolved attachment issues that can cause problems in adulthood.
As a former Samaritan I have extensive experience of speaking with people who are struggling, supporting with a wide and varied range of concerns including thoughts of suicide.
I also have a background and interest in counselling individuals with work related issues. Helping to identify how feelings, perhaps of powerlessness or being unheard, can lead to patterns of behaviour that cause difficulties within the work environment.
Together we could look at your experiences, including those from the past where they are affecting you in the present, as well at how you relate to yourself and to others.
I will work at your pace, checking regularly how you feel things are progressing. My aim is to enable you to be your authentic self, achieve your goals and make the changes right for you.
If you are affected by any of these or similar issues, please get in touch to see how having counselling sessions with me could help you.
My first session
The first session is a 15 minute free telephone consultation, where we would look at what you hope to get from counselling, provide an opportunity to discuss how we might work together and answer any questions that you may have. It would be entirely up to you as to whether you book any further sessions after this.
