About me and my therapy practice
My name is Rochelle and I am a qualified and registered BACP Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I offer 1:1 individual counselling/psychotherapy for adults and young people aged 16+ in a safe, friendly and confidential environment Face-to-face, online and via phone.
My aim for therapy is for it to be a space for exploration where you can feel comfortable to be yourself without bias or negative judgement. Encouraging you to increase your awareness of self I foster an environment of empathy, care and compassion. Working together I encourage clients to work towards change, making real changes and steps towards your goals.
Commencing therapy can be nerve-racking and choosing the right therapist is an important decision. As a relational therapist, my hope is that we are able to build a unique therapeutic relationship between us and a relationship that also empowers you to make the changes you want to see.
I have experience of working with individuals in varying areas including:
Depression, Anxiety Disorders (including Social Anxiety), Trauma (Sexual & Domestic Violence), Problematic Substance Use, Abuse (Sexual, Emotional, Physical, Psychological/Mental, Discriminatory, Organisational/Institutional and Neglect), Borderline Personality Disorders, Dissociative Disorders.
Attachment, Childhood Trauma, Inner-Child Work.
Anger, Low Self-Esteem, Low Mood, Self-Harm.
I believe our past experiences and relationships shape and influence our thinking and behaviours in the present, I work in an integrative way including psychodynamic, relational, person-centred and CBT therapeutic approaches and also offer intercultural therapy, exploring identity, culture and diversity.
