About me and my therapy practice
Hi,
Welcome to my listing.
Starting the process of therapy, even the first step of looking for a therapist can be daunting. I have tried to offer insight into my practice and my values and philosophy as a practitioner so you can make an informed decision.
I am a woman of colour integrative therapist and my practice is deeply rooted in values of compassion and creating a safe and held environment where clients can explore the changes they want to make. I have experience of working in both long term exploratory approach as well as short term structured sessions. Working with collaboration with my clients is fundamental to my practice. I draw principles and tools from various modalities to support clients to reach their goals. The goals can be very specific such as increasing coping with anxiety, or coping with depression. They can also be broader around seeking clarity in one or more areas of one's life or exploring one's identity.
I hold PVG disclosure and receive appropriate clinical supervision of my work to ensure that I am working ethically and adhere to highest standards of practice.
Please feel welcome to email me if you would like any more information about me or have nay questions.
My qualifications include:
1- SCOTACS Diploma in Counselling and Groupwork: a CBT Approach
2- Msc in Psychological Studies
3- BA in Sociology and Psychology
4- Certificate in Counselling Skills
5- Diploma in Counselling Supervision.
