About me and my therapy practice
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where a loved one, a family member, a friend or work colleague asks you “How are you feeling”? you respond “I am feeling fine”, however in reality you are feeling tense, anxious, overwhelmed unable to relax, have a sense of dread or fearing for the worst but you don’t want to burden anyone with whatever may be troubling you so you go through life pretending everything is fine.
You don’t have to suffer in silence, I know that seeking therapy can be a scary step to take and may seem a little daunting.
This is where I can help, working together we can look at ways to help you feel at ease, to think more clearly and rationally, and look at situations in new less frightening ways.
My aim is to provide you with a safe confidential, non-judgmental space to talk freely about your innermost thoughts and feelings without fear of rejection to focus on what is happening for you right now and work collaboratively with you to navigate through the difficult times to accept who you are and reconnect with yourself.
I am a person-centred counsellor, with extensive experience supporting clients from diverse demographics and cultural backgrounds facing mental health challenges or traumatic experiences. The sessions focus on you and your view of the world. In essence, you’re the expert on you, I’m just here to walk alongside and safely support you, as you explore and work through things.
Practice description
I offer in person, online, (Microsoft Teams) and telephone counselling sessions.
The in-person sessions take place at The Beacon Centre, Chafford Hundred.
There is free adequate parking at the site, my office is located on the first floor and has disabled access and disabled facilities provided in the building to.
Sessions take place on a weekly basis at the same day/time as agreed in the initial session.
My first session
I know from experience finding a counsellor that you feel comfortable with is extremely important, and it is important that you find the right therapist for you which is why I offer a free initial 15-minute introductory consultation call (via Video or telephone, whichever you might prefer) for all new clients.
This is an informal chat which will give us the opportunity to begin to get to know each other, to get a better idea of the way I work, to answer any questions you may have about me, my practice, and to assess your needs, concerns and discuss any goals you have from therapy.
The session ensures that I can meet your needs and that you feel comfortable with the process.
