About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my profile.
Are you looking to heal and make meaningful change? Are you finding life challenging, finding it difficult to cope with thoughts, feelings and emotions? Maybe you feel it is time for you to invest in your personal development.
There are many reasons that bring us to therapy whether they are temporary difficulties, long-term struggles.
I offer a warm, non-judgmental and confidential space in which you can talk openly about any aspects of your life in a way which might not be possible with friends or family. I am here to listen and to work with you so that you can start to make sense of your feelings and create positive change in your life.
I call myself a Relational Integrative Counsellor and my thinking is based on how relationships take a centre role in our wellbeing. The integrative approach allows me to tailor the therapy to my your needs.
I combine traditional therapeutic theories with evidence-based models and contemporary relational though.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello and Welcome, my name is Fiona and my private practice is based on the Wrexham/Chester border. I am a Relational Integrative Counsellor, a registered member of the BACP and hold a Masters Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I believe everyone experiences times in their lives when our emotions and feelings can become overwhelming, leaving us feeling distressed, confused and stuck. Our work will be built upon the creation of a safe, warm, non-judgemental space where you can begin to explore what has brought you to counselling. Together, we will find the best ways to help, and ease the feeling of distress.
My work is rooted in Person-centred ideology with the addition of Psychodynamic principles informing my practice. Where we focus on you as a unique individual, looking at present difficulties often under the context of your early year experience. As a Relational Integrative Counsellor my work is flexible and able to adapt to your needs.
Please get in touch to have an informal chat about how we could work together.
Practice description
I currently offer counselling in a number of ways:
- We can work face to face, meeting in person in what could be considered the traditional way. This is where you would come to my place of work and counselling takes in my place private indoor room.
- I also offer, face to face in an outdoor space - this is often called 'Walk and Talk' or 'Ecotherapy'. Here we use nature as a hugely beneficial wellbeing resource and by walking/sitting side by side the therapy can feel less intense.
- In addition to face to face counselling, I offer counselling where we meet in a virtual meeting room. This enables counselling to be accessible to those who need/prefer to stay in their chosen location - this could be for a variety of reasons, for example: work/time commitments, geographically closeness or social anxiety.
- Final, I offer a blended service. Meaning that we can mix up the way we see each other to suit the need at the time. So Ecotherapy along side virtual meeting or we begin our work indoors face to face then move to Ecotherapy.
I have weekly or fortnightly sessions available during the week - I don't work at weekends. Sessions take place in the daytime and I can offer evening slots although these are limited.
