About me and my therapy practice
My approach is psychodynamic, which means I see psychotherapy as a "talking cure". The conversation that we could start together will help you understand why you are gripped by anxiety, depressed, disturbed, unhappy or not living the life you want. This understanding will foster resilience to face the choices and challenges in your life that you may need to make in order to change.
Practice description
I am a trained psychodynamic therapist, I hold a Master’s degree (Msc. Birkbeck/UOL) and also hold a diploma in Group theory and Psychodynamic practice (CofHE Birbeck/UOL). I have volunteered in NHS SLAM, and work as a volunteer and as a paid Counsellor in Bereavement support. My background also covers extensive work in the creative industries.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). As a BACP member, I am bound to uphold their ethical policies.
My first session
We could start by having a chat on the phone or by video call.
This is for me to hear why you are seeking help, and to give you an initial opinion, of how I could help you. From there we could agree to have, ideally, two sessions (50 minutes) and those will give you and me a better idea of how we could work and if you wish to take further sessions on a weekly basis.
