About me and my therapy practice
I hope to see the light in everyone however sometimes this light has been dimmed through adverse experiences and challenges people have encountered in their past or present, turning up the dimmer through experiencing counselling can bring about profound changes to someone, it can help someone move from a stuck place, of trauma, anger, hate, shame, guilt to one of acceptance, understanding and progress forward towards their hopes and goals.
I currently work within an agency which offers counselling for client’s suffering from addiction to gambling, within this setting and my private practice I work with a variety of issues, varying from PTSD, attachment trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, and relational issues and many more.
Practice description
I believe no one therapy works for everyone which is why I work integratively to help elicit the changes you may want to make. Trained in Transactional Analysis I work relationally with a mix of other theories, working intuitively in sessions to look at and explore together how life has had an impact on you.
I believe that working compassionately through empathy and really hearing someone is fundamentally the building blocks of counselling, mixed with actioning changes, even small ones each week can gradually bring about big changes clients want to see.
As a Registered member of the BACP I adhere to the ethical framework within my practice and with it attend regular professional development training and supervision.
