About me and my therapy practice

Should I talk to someone about this? If you've found yourself on this page, it's likely that you've already considered this question.

With so many therapists online, it can be hard to decipher who is 'right' for you. It's my belief that the most important factor is the relationship between counsellor/therapist and client, and much of my work is around establishing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with you.

Counselling provides you with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where we work through troubled and confused feelings and situations. Together we will explore the many ways in which the past, relationships, experiences and events impact our present day life.

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist based in North London. I completed my training at the oldest provider of counselling services in the UK. As a member of the BACP, I abide by its ethical framework, which includes regular supervision of my work, and Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

I run my private practice and also work as a Staff Counsellor at a Highgate Counselling Centre. In addition, I also helped facilitate a wellbeing course/workshop in a corporate environment, and am a Tutor at The Awareness Centre, delivering a series of workshops to therapists in training on their Diploma and Certificate courses.

Prior to starting my career in counselling, I worked as a senior manager for 20+ years and have corporate leadership and operations management experience.

I am of a mixed cultural/ethnic background, which enables me to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of difference, diversity and acceptance. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, regardless of age, socio-economic background, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity.

Practice description

My private practice consulting rooms are in Enfield Town and Finchley Central, and am now accepting bookings for face-to-face counselling under strict COVID-19 safety procedures. Both therapy rooms are within walking distance from public transport links.

I also offer online counselling sessions. Please highlight if you would prefer to see me in person or online counselling when making your enquiry.

If you would like to discuss more about what brings you here, please contact me to arrange a free 15-minute telephone consultation.

About me and my therapy practice

I strongly believe that therapy should be a safe space to explore, understand and resolve difficulties without fear of judgement or rejection. I provide a safe space where anything can be spoken about openly, and at your own pace.

I have experience with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem and worth, trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, bereavement, gender & sexuality, relationship difficulties, and work-related issues, to name but a few.

I am of a mixed cultural/ethnic background, which enables me to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of difference, diversity and acceptance, and run an anti-oppressive practice. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, regardless of age, socio-economic background, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity.

Practice description

I am an Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, which means that I have met additional criteria to what is regularly expected by counsellors and psychotherapists with the BACP. My approach is personalised and approachable, where I actively work alongside you to help overcome difficulties and promote understanding.

I began my career in a renowned counselling centre in North London, providing individual counselling to adults. Since then, I now run a well-established private practice from Enfield Town. In addition to counselling, I facilitate workshops at various counselling training organisations across the UK.

My private practice consulting rooms are in Enfield Town, but I also work online.

If you would like to discuss more about what brings you here, please contact me to arrange an initial session.
