About me and my therapy practice
I use an Integrative approach to best meet clients’ needs. I aim to provide a safe welcoming, non-judgmental space where clients can freely express their thoughts, feelings and truly be heard. I am here to listen to you and help you find the best way forward. My approach is collaborative and combines the Psychodynamic approach where we examine thoughts and feelings from the past and the Person-centered approach where we examine how those past feelings affect the client in the here and now. My hope is to help clients realise that they have the tools to help themselves move forward in life and I’ll assist in finding new perspectives that help to bring self-awareness, strength, self-belief and enable positive change.
Practice description
I have a background working in the courts in witness services meaning that I worked with victims of crime, supporting and preparing them to testify in criminal cases so I have experience working sensitively and with empathy. I also have experience working with a variety of issues as I have spent time working in a college setting. This has led to me working with people of diverse ages, backgrounds and cultures. I have a keen interest in existentialism and all the thoughts that might arise from questioning our surroundings and the meaning. I am also interested in relationships and communication issues.
I am an integrative counsellor based at The Awareness Centre in Tooting. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and am a member of BACP. I work with a focus on attachment theory.
