About me and my therapy practice
I am a professionally trained integrative therapist who works with people of all ages. I hold an MSc in Attachment Studies and have achieved accreditation with the BACP. I draw upon a range of therapies, underpinned with a person-centred relational model to create a bespoke therapy that meets your needs.
I'm curious about people and their behaviours. I work collaboratively to help clients figure out their limiting beliefs or work through unresolved issues from the past that might be holding them back from living a far more content life.
Having worked with vulnerable homeless veterans from the armed forces, I have dealt with a number of complex cases requiring a robust attitude. There is no hierarchy within suffering, and each client is treated with sensitivity and care.
Practice description
My approach is relaxed, so clients can feel comfortable discussing their struggles. I understand that navigating your way through life can be overwhelming, especially when you're feeling fragile or lacking self-confidence. Trying to resolve internal/external issues with a chaotic mind is generally difficult to do on your own. Although resilience and resourcefulness is assumed to be inherent in us all, these instincts can often become buried under the complexity of modern day living. I highlight personal strengths over weaknesses, and will help you manage your internal bully.
Sharing your personal thoughts and feelings with an impartial counsellor can help to unravel the chaos and provide the freedom to think more clearly and create the capacity for coping better in the future.
My MSc has a particular focus on unresolved childhood trauma, due to abuse or neglect from narcissistic caregivers. I also specialise in supporting and working with clients who are in, or are suffering from the aftermath of an abusive relationship, especially when self-blame and shame are persistent.
I offer short term sessions and open-ended long term therapy.
I will never be pushy, and respect everyone's choice to stay or leave therapy when they feel the time is right. I offer a flexible approach, which matches my style of being. I understand that not everyone can commit to weekly sessions on the same day, and at the same time - but I do require notice to work together in finding the best solution that fits into your needs.

Availability
I work online and in a private practice. I have limited availability and you may sometimes have to join a waiting list - but due to the nature of therapy, you won't have to wait too long for a regular slot. I work online & in-person on a Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 10am - 4pm and fit my clinical supervision around these days.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer an inclusive supervision space that combines warmth and support, with a commitment to creating a stimulating and reflective environment.
My approach prioritises a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere where your individuality and professional journey are valued. I believe that great supervision offers more than just professional development, but also personal and clinical growth.
✦ WHAT I OFFER ✦
• A SAFE SPACE when power dynamics and transference issues get entangled. I believe we develop better in spaces where we don't feel shamed or less than. I offer a judgment-free zone where we can talk about our vulnerabilities and mistakes in a way that feels safe and held.
• PROCESSING & REFLECTING on thoughts and feelings evoked by your client work (anxieties, stuck-ness, frustration, etc.), and separating what belongs to you, your client and dynamics of each relationship.
• LEARNING and increasing your self-confidence and skills, tapping into your strengths, capability and experience. I believe in sharing knowledge, resources, articles, interventions and relevant psycho-education.
• COLLABORATION when we don't have the answers. Gentle questions, brainstorming and working together can help us both reflect and discover new insights about your clients and yourself as a therapist.
• SUPPORT with practical things like your fees, boundary issues, your website and social media presence, accreditation, marketing your private practice, and working online safely.
• CELEBRATION of yours and your clients' growth, small and big wins, and moments of change and transformation.
