About me and my therapy practice
Are you struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues or just feeling overwhelmed? Or do you feel stuck in a rut and that life is passing you by or finding it difficult to see a hopeful future?
Maybe events from the past keep playing on your mind, stopping you from moving forward with your life or perhaps you have a difficult decision to make.
I can help.
I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor. I provide a friendly, safe and confidential space, where you will not be judged, allowing you the freedom to talk freely and make sense of whatever is troubling you, and help you learn better ways of coping.
I have many years of experience of helping adults and young people (over 18) with a wide range of life issues such as social anxiety, low self-esteem/self confidence, self doubt, relationships, divorce/separation, dating, work/life balance, lack of direction/feeling stuck, exam stress, university pressures and personal development coaching.
I have also worked for a local charity supporting adults who suffer from the effects of emotional, physical and sexual childhood abuse. We cannot change what has happened to us but I can help you to work through events from the past, to get a better understanding of yourself and to make positive changes
Whatever is bringing you to counselling, I believe that everyone is unique, every issue is different, therefore I tailor sessions and draw from different approaches to help you get the most from your counselling.
Practice description
Life doesn't always run smoothly and can bring us various challenges, which can sometimes feel overwhelming.
We all have things on our minds that we feel we cannot raise, even with our closest family and friends. It can be hard to open up and share your inner most thoughts and concerns with someone, especially with someone you don’t know.
You will find that even just being able to verbalise your thoughts, with the freedom to talk openly and confidentially, can be very therapeutic.
Online sessions
Sessions by video call (Zoom) or by telephone call and can offer you the flexibility and convenience to fit in appointments around a busy life, all from the comfort of your own home
I specialise in online and telephone counselling and work with individual adults and young people (over 18) anywhere in the UK.
Flexible sessions offered, weekly and fortnightly appointments available.
I offer a free introductory session, with no obligation, which will give you a feel to how online counselling could work for you. This can be online by video call (Zoom) or by telephone, whichever you prefer.
My first session
I understand that making that first step to see a counsellor can feel daunting, I believe it is important to find a therapist who you feel comfortable with.
Therefore I offer a free initial 20 minute appointment, to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have.
