About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Accredited Person-Centred counsellor working with young people, children and teenagers helping them to improve their mental health and build their resilience. I currently work as a school counsellor as well as in my private practice.
I have been supporting young people with their mental health for nearly 10 years in schools, colleges and community settings.
I have a BSc Hons degree in Person Centred counselling and a Level 5 certificate in Counselling Children and Young People. I have also completed training with Anxiety UK which included Accessing risk in Anxiety.
I believe that helping young people overcome their mental health struggles now, will give them the best chance to live with good mental health for the rest of their lives.
I have helped many young people with a range of issues and difficulties including anxiety, depression, low mood, bereavement, self-harm, suicidal thought and relationships by providing them with a safe space to explore how they feel, ways to cope and manage these feelings as well as helping them to build their resilience to enhance their lives in the future.
I am passionate about my work and through continuing personal development I keep my skills up to date and regularly add new ways of working with young people, to achieve good mental health. My work is regularly overseen by a qualified clinical supervisor.
I hold an Enhanced DBS and I am fully insured.
