About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling anxious, depressed or lost, or having relationship difficulties? Are you looking for a counsellor who will listen to you, support you and help you make sense of what is going on? If so, please get in touch.
I offer counselling to people looking to find a therapist in Central London.
I specialise in helping people who have depression, anxiety, self-esteem and self-confidence issues. Sometimes these issues have come up recently or suddenly after something like a bereavement, work problems, or a break-up.
Or sometimes anxiety or depression feel like they have always been there, more or less, but it’s got to a point where you have to deal with them now. It might be that issues from the past, or patterns in relationships, just keep bubbling up and you want to figure them out and move on.
I will give you a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment to talk about your life and your feelings. I will really listen to you.
Together we will work to understand the issues, how you can deal with them, and how you can live a more fulfilling life and make the changes in your life you seek.
We cannot predict the future, but you can get to know yourself better, build self-esteem, resilience, and self-acceptance.
Practice description
I offer counselling to adults in London EC1. I specialise in anxiety, depression and low-self esteem, and I work with people to develop self-confidence, resilience and self-acceptance.
I see people from all ethnicities, backgrounds and walks of life. I work from a comfortable and quiet office in Clerkenwell, near Farringdon Station and not far from the Angel in Islington.
I offer long-term psychotherapy or short-term focused counselling depending on what is best for each person. It’s generally once a week but we can talk about that being more, or less, frequent if that feels right.
I put the relationship between you the client and me the counsellor at the heart of what I do. I believe that trust, confidentiality, reliability and honesty are absolutely central and vital to therapeutic change.
Starting counselling and therapy can feel like a big step. If you want to ask me any questions about how we could work together, my practice, what the process is and so on, I am happy to have a conversation on the phone or by email, with no obligation.
These are tough times for many people financially, so session fees are set on a sliding scale based on what clients can pay and are comfortable paying. We can discuss this when you get in touch.
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and I abide by BACP ethical guidelines. I have an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck, University of London. I am a registered psychodynamic counsellor at the British Psychoanalytic Council.
