About me and my therapy practice
My clients will be facing addictions, relationship issues, stress, anxiety and depression, disordered eating, loss, or simply find themselves feeling lost, disconnected and unfulfilled. Depending on the client and the issues I work with with a number of therapeutic approaches including attachment styles, humanistic and motivational approaches to help my clients experience the best lives they can. My aim is to work with clients to ensure the best outcome for them in the most effective way possible.
Practice description
Clients seek therapy to help them reflect and to bring about change of some sort - in how they view themselves, their lives, their relationships or how they are experiencing events they are going through. As well as healing therapy should be transformational for the client. My approach is based on therapy being a relational, nuanced, and contextual process which needs work and commitment from both client and therapist to work.
I work face to face from consulting rooms based in Richmond town centre, 5 minutes from the station, or on-line using Zoom. Sessions are 50 minutes and can be weekly or fortnightly.
My first session
The first session is an assessment which lasts around 30-40 mins and is free of charge. It allows both us both to see if we are a good fit to work together. It allows me to understand if I am the right therapist to be able to work with you and allows you to see if you want to work with me. I ask questions around your current situation, some family history, as well as what brings you to therapy and what support you feel you need.
The first session is on-line and if we feel we could work together then further sessions will then be arranged either on-line or face to face.
