About me and my therapy practice

CLB Therapy provides trauma informed, neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy for adult women.

My preferred name is Charlie and I am an accredited integrative counsellor. I have extensive experience of working with vulnerable clients in crisis, or those needing long-term support. I am passionate about women's issues and advocate for awareness of neurodiversity in females.

I qualified as a Therapist in 2009 with a level 5 Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I have since studied alternative therapies, which have enhanced my practice and enabled a more holistic understanding of my clients' journeys.

Much of my work involves empowering clients who struggle with anxiety, depression or low self-worth. I work with clients to help build their confidence and self-esteem, with empathy and acceptance. Sometimes life gets too much and can feel out of control or overwhelming, I can help you untangle the chaos so you can see more clearly and make sense of where you are.

Working with a trauma-informed approach, I can also help you identify challenges affecting your daily life, which may be connected to past events. Processing earlier experiences can help us release pain and heal, so we can move forward.

As part of my practice, I encourage clients to try techniques such as mindfulness and meditation, as tools for stress relief and grounding.

Areas of professional interest and experience include; neurodiversity, sexuality, childhood trauma, menopause, relationship difficulties and abuse. I also work in schools with parents and children, who need practical and emotional support.

I am a qualified Drawing & Talking practitioner and an Evergreen Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

I can provide face to face or online counselling.

Online sessions are 50 minutes in duration and cost £55
