About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I offer a safe, supportive, empathic and non-judgemental space where we can focus on what you feel you need to share and explore.

The therapeutic relationship, and really being with my client whilst allowing them to explore and experience difficult emotions and feelings is my priority. Wherever our journey takes us, I believe your autonomy is key to you finding your way.

I am a fully qualified counsellor, working with my clients in an integrative way which allows me to tailor the work to my client’s specific needs and get the most out of counselling. I am trained in person centred, experiential, psychodynamic, and existential approaches. I am also a Drawing and Talking therapist and can use this to allow clients the freedom of art to explore things that may be difficult to talk about directly.

I have experience of working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of agency settings and in schools, across a wide range of issues.

Practice description

I work in an agency, from home and schools, seeing clients face to face age 7 upwards. I work in my private practice from home offering face to face, online and telephone sessions.

I work collaboratively with clients to explore their thoughts, emotions and behaviours in order to identify and work towards their desired goals and new perspectives.

My first session

There is no fee for our first introductory session which will be a 20 minute telephone call or email if you prefer. In this assessment session it is our opportunity to see if and how we might work together.

We discuss what brings you to consider counselling, what goals you may have and you are able to hear how I work as a therapist and ask any questions.

I send over a copy of our working agreement for you to read through and consider. There is no obligation to continue with sessions following this assessment, but if you would like to arrange counselling sessions we then find a mutually convenient day/time for which to start our work together.
