About me and my therapy practice
My name is Kerrie Ann and I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor. I am an accredited member of the BACP. I trained at the Metanoia Institute in London.
As an Australian living in the UK for many years I bring an open and flexible approach to therapy.
Having space and time to talk through things that are weighing heavily on us can be helpful. I can provide the support needed to assist you to reflect, understand yourself better, and make positive changes to move you forward. I help with this through a calm, non-judgemental, understanding lens, and in confidence.
I am trained and experienced in education, and have worked with children parents and teaching staff over many years. I have an understanding of challenging family dynamics, and people struggling to live away from family.
Practice description
My consultation work can be short term or longer term therapy, depending on what the need is. With talking based therapy, clients can feel more empowered to tackle life's difficulties, and more able to make balanced decisions.
I can help identify unhelpful patterns and negative thinking, and support clients to see difficult situations from different perspective.
I offer a warm and supportive space for you to talk, and to be heard. Together we can work through the issues that are causing you discomfort. Being brave enough to be curious about yourself, exploring how you are feeling and understanding yourself can be life-changing.
I have particular interest in:
. supporting parents struggling with their relationships with children
. providing young people with tools for such difficulties as low self-esteem, anxiety and social concerns
. working alongside teachers and other education professionals with the pressures of work
. relational issues
. supporting people living away from their families
. spiritual-related issues
. loss and bereavement
. pet loss
. work-induced stress
