About me and my therapy practice

It can be overwhelming trying to find the right therapist. You want someone you can feel comfortable around. Someone who understands what you’re going through and won’t just dismiss your thoughts and concerns.

That’s why I’m here. My name is Rachel, and I am an experienced psychotherapist based in Liverpool.

I offer a range of services to help you get to the root of your problems and help you in making the changes you need to lead a better, more fulfilling life.

About me

A big part of what led me to where I am today is the challenges I’ve faced. Throughout my life, I’ve had personal experiences with:

Disordered Eating

Depression

Anxiety

These issues led me to seek out my own personal therapy. This was something I found incredibly difficult, but ended up being a life-changing experience.

After having such a positive experience with therapy myself, I felt inspired to pursue my own training in order to "give back" to others—helping people live their best lives, however they define that for themselves.

Experience

I have had experience working with a wide range of presenting issues, including but not limited to:

OCD

Depression

Anxiety

Disordered Eating

Self-Harm

Suicide Thoughts

Childhood Trauma

Low Self-Esteem

Health Anxiety

Work Stress

Sexual Abuse

General Low Mood

You may have a specific problem you'd like to focus on, or you may just have a sense that something is "not right" – together, we can explore what's troubling you and gain clarity on the root causes.

Attending therapy sessions can help you develop practical tools to make positive changes, empowering you to move forward in a way that feels aligned with your true self and your goals.

Practice description

Face to face appointments

I have an office in the commercial district in Liverpool where I offer face to face appointments.

Outdoor Therapy

The outdoors and nature are very important to me. I spend a lot of my spare time hiking which has been hugely beneficial to my own personal mental health.

I offer outdoor therapy sessions meeting in the festival gardens in Liverpool.  There is the opportunity to walk alongside the river also - please get in touch for more information.

Online Therapy

I also offer appointments online via zoom.

My first session

Prior to the first full length session I provide a free 20 minute consultation so we can introduce ourselves. This also provides space for you to ask any questions you may have about me and how I work.

The first session is then about getting to know you a bit better. I will ask some basic details such as your address and GP details, and then open up the conversation to get an overview of what your current life situation looks like, and what you would like to change. Not everyone knows what exactly they would like to change at the beginning so don't worry if you're not sure.
