About me and my therapy practice
~ ONLINE and FACE To FACE~ My counselling practice is centred on the belief that difficulties can send us ‘off-track’ but we all have the capacity to find our way back, we might just need a little help. I work with what you bring, using the counselling approach that meets your individual needs, rather than fitting your needs into a predecided approach. For example, you may need some immediate help with tools to manage your current symptoms, and then later want to look deeper into exploring the cause of those symptoms. Whatever you bring I will not judge. I will offer you the care, empathy and understanding that I would want in a counsellor.
Practice description
1:1 sessions, Couples/Relationship counselling, Family sessions
I provide counselling for anxiety, depression, feeling not good enough, perfectionism, persistent worry and low mood, parenting issues and menopause. My counselling practice is both face to face and online through video call.
I offer you a safe, accepting and supportive environment. If you feel that you can trust me, then growth and change will happen as we explore together. You may not really know exactly how to explain how you are feeling, and that's OK too.
My first session
Before the first session, I will send you some paperwork that will give you all the factual information about our sessions and asks for basic information about you.
This means that the first session offers time and a therapeutic space for you to share how you are feeling, thinking, and why you would like some help. I can also answer any questions that you have. Without the initial paperwork, we would have to cover basic information rather than being able to spend the time on the reason you are looking for counselling therapy. It enables you to know if you feel comfortable with me without it feeling like a question and answer interview-style session.
If you would rather, I can offer a short administration session where we complete the paperwork together, face to face, 15-20 minutes free of charge.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer supervision to established and student counsellors based on the 7-eyed model, and areas we might talk about include Self-care, Clinical skills and interventions, Support and guidance, Countertransference issues (feelings you have about your clients), Endings and terminations, Managing impostor syndrome, Fees and finances, Legal issues and liability.
Supervision needs to be useful and not something that feels like an obligation. I work in a transparent and “real” way. My supervisees are my peers, and unconditional positive regard is really important between us. I am here to help.
In my counselling practice, I work with a diverse range of clients, including adults, couples, and young people, each with their unique reasons for seeking counselling. I approach my work with a person-centred base, offering pluralistic therapy ensuring that each client feels understood and catered to, rather than offering just one model of therapy.
Please get in touch with me so that we can have a chat and see if we are a good fit.
I offer supervision face to face and online.

My first session
Some supervisees are nervous, anxious, and stressed about supervision. This makes sense because supervision can be vulnerable and uncomfortable to discuss parts of you and your practice that you find challenging and difficult. If you would like to have a chat before booking supervision, please get in touch.
