I take two weeks annual leave every December and August.

About me and my therapy practice

I help people to understand and respond to some of the difficulties that may be causing them distress. My work often involves  helping those who may feel lost, anxious, stuck, or isolated in some way.

I particularly welcome enquiries relating to problematic relationships, trauma, childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, and dependence.

Practice description

I spent many years providing mental health support in educational and health and social care settings. Currently, I work for an organisation offering psychotherapy to individuals with multi-complex mental health presentations. I also maintain a private practice for a limited number of clients.

I hold a first-Class BA Hons degree in Health and Applied Social Sciences, a Foundation degree in Working with Substance Misuse, and a Master of Arts degree in Integrative Psychotherapy with distinction.

I am a registered and accredited member of the BACP – meaning that the way I practice has met the BACP’s higher standards as a competent, ethical, and independent practitioner. I adhere fully to the BACP Ethical Framework. I am presently undertaking further training with the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA) to develop my skills as a group therapist.

My first session

My first session is charged at £30. This will offer us the opportunity to meet each other and find out more about your situation and why you are seeking therapy now. It will allow time for questions and a fuller explanation of my approach and style of work.

I have a therapy room situated in central Lancaster and I offer ‘in person’ and video call (Skype etc.) sessions.

There is one flight of stairs going up towards my therapy room. There are some toilets on the same floor.
