About me and my therapy practice
I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, OCD, addiction issues, relationship problems or issues linked to past traumas.
I very much believe in helping my clients to discover ways that they can live a more fulfilling and purposeful life. So, whilst we will examine the past, we will be working with what's happening with you in the present to help you move towards the future and the person that you want to be.
Practice description
I have a warm, welcoming style and like to build a strong collaborative relationship with my clients.
I work from an Integrative perspective which means that I draw from a number of therapeutic approaches depending on what is required. I have done extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients develop more effective ways of coping with their issues.
I will always make the focus of the therapy the challenges that you are facing. This helps to provide a framework to give focus, and flexibility to the therapy so that we can effectively help you with your addiction, anxiety, depression or relationship issues.
I am currently offering one to one sessions of 50 minutes and only online.
My first session
First of all, I offer a free 15-20 minute phone or Zoom consultation so that we can get a sense of each other and decide if I am the right therapist for you.
If you decide you'd like a first session, we will set up a time for a first online session. I will send a link for our meeting and also an email with a link to a welcome pack, a contact detail form and a therapy agreement, that should answer any admin questions that you have.
In your first session, we will explore your reasons for coming to therapy, your personal history and any other important information that comes up. Towards the end of the session we will discuss what options are available in terms of further therapy with me.

Are you someone who keeps finding themselves repeating the same painful patterns in life? Are you left feeling anxious, exhausted, frustrated and stuck with your current life situation?
Perhaps you’re open to exploring these parts of your life and gain some understanding about them? You may be looking to address your stuck ways of being and learn ways of managing your feelings.
I specialise in working with people who have anxiety, depression and other related issues.
Working together, we would explore what’s happening in your life at the moment and what’s happened in the past to try and make sense of these feelings and navigate a way through for you.
Practice description
Working with you, I would listen to your story, ask questions aiming to explore your life and to understand those areas of life that you’re struggling with. The aim is to help provide you with a deeper knowledge of yourself and discover what matters to you in life.
My approach is Integrative but with a solutions focus. I tend to integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) with Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) along with Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). These approaches provide effective and immediately usable skills that can be used outside of the therapy room to help live a more fulfilling life.
My first session
I understand that choosing a therapist that you can connect with and trust is essential. In order that you can get a good sense of how we could work together, I offer a free 15 minute introductory phone call. If we decide that we will be able to work together, we can schedule a time for a first session. If we aren’t a good fit I can always refer you on to someone who may suit your needs more.
In the first session, we will discuss in more detail what's brought you to therapy and also run through some of your personal history.
Once I've learnt a little bit more about you, we will discuss a plan for therapy in order to help you with the issues that are contributing to your anxiety.
