About me and my therapy practice
You may be facing an immediate crisis, or dealing with long-standing challenges. You may be facing bereavement, struggling to overcome anxiety or tackling addiction. I believe that the therapeutic relationship provides a safe place in which you can look deeply at these issues and unpick the impact that they have across your life. In an environment of kindness and compassion, I will support you in reflecting on your life and exploring the situation in which you find yourself today.
Therapeutic counselling provides a space for you to reflect on everything that is going on for you, and for us to explore these things together. I use a flexible approach to respond to you, and to allow you to feel seen and heard without judgment.
Taking the decision to seek counselling is a turning-point. It opens up the possibility of finding understanding, growth and change. I would love to be able to reflect with you on the life that you long for, and to support you as you explore how to bring it into being.
I have a private practice, as well as working in an agency on Harley Street. I am an integrative counsellor, and have worked for Mind in Haringey and in community and hospital settings.
My first session
After your initial contact, we will set up a meeting in which we can explore the factors that have brought you to therapy and your hopes for counselling. This session can be as intense or as broad-brush as you choose: its purpose is to provide the opportunity for us to get a sense of each other.
During this session, we can speak in more detail about counselling and the way I work. We will also discuss the possible duration of our work and fees, as well as agreeing an appropriate time slot, should you wish to continue our work.
