About me and my therapy practice
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I use different approaches to find what best suits your needs. I work holistically attending to your mind, body, feelings and your environment in the context of your past, here and now, and future. I offer my thoughts, feelings, emotions and senses, my experience and skills, and my honesty, kindness, acceptance and support.
I have worked within the specialised NHS services as well as in a local counselling organisation before becoming a Private Practitioner. I am experienced in treating addictions, complex trauma, self-harm, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder and body dysmorphia. I help with issues around relationships, bereavement, sexuality, self-acceptance and self-esteem. I also provide ongoing support for individuals with ADHD, autism and bipolar disorder.
I also have been working for several years as an Associated Counsellor with EAP providers such as CareFirst and Lifeworks, and with youth mental health support program HealHub.
I have an MA and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling (awarded by The Minster Centre and Middlesex University and accredited by UKCP), an MSc in Psychology (awarded by Middlesex University and accredited by BPS), a Diploma in Integrative Counselling (awarded by The Minster Centre and accredited by BACP), and Level 2 Qualification Certificate in Understanding Autism (awarded and accredited by NCFE CACHE).
Practice description
I conduct face-to-face and online sessions. In exceptional circumstances, I do home visits.
I charge a reduced fee of £70 for the first session. For the following sessions, I charge £90. I offer a limited number of low-cost sessions to those on a low income and students.
When I work with couples, I charge £150 for a 90-minute session.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also a member of the Federation of Alcohol and Drug Practitioners (FDAP).
