About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where I work with individuals to achieve lasting personal change.
I use a targeted approach to set appropriate goals for your therapy, and importantly this helps to signal when the therapy is over. This saves you time and money, as well as helping you feel better faster.
I have helped many people of all ages:
Reduce anxiety
Break the cycle of depression
Stop panic attacks
Improve relationships and family issues
Progress career
Increase confidence
Self-manage your mental health
Explore sexuality
Manage anger
Sleep better
You might want to focus on a specific problem that is troubling you, or you may simply have a sense that you are not feeling yourself, and things are ‘not quite right’. I work flexibly and creatively to help you find ways to manage and overcome difficulties with a variety of approaches.
I have twenty years experience working as a counsellor and psychotherapist, group facilitator and consultant both within private and public organisations including the BBC, the NHS, local colleges and schools and the Employment industry. I have been a registered member of the BACP since 2010.
My specialisms:
Issues related to young people - eating disorders, self-harm, low self-esteem, bereavement, family breakdown. I have worked as a schools counsellor and facilitator in London primary and secondary schools.
Employment - including stress, illness, PTSD, long periods of unemployment.
Depression and anxiety
Relationship issues.
I am BACP and UKCP accredited and my practice is fully insured and professionally supervised in accordance with BACP and UKCP guidelines.
Practice description
Although I have trained as a Transactional Analyst, and additionally have had training as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, I also draw on the humanistic, relational, psychodynamic and existential approaches. Creativity is also central to my approach.
My first session
Before we agree to work together, we shall have an introductory session which is chargeable. This is a time for you to ask questions and for us to get a sense of one another and how we might work together. If we do not agree to work together, I will aim to refer you on to someone more suitable. At this meeting we will look at scheduling future appointments if you wish. You will not be pressurised to make any decisions at this meeting.
New clients are asked to complete an intake questionnaire which will be emailed to you after our introductory session and should be filled in before our next session.
Next session:
If we do decide to work together, we can agree an initial working period and what our aims might be. I will complete an assessment at this point. At the end of the initial working period (usually 6 weeks), we can then agree to book a further block of sessions or discuss alternative options.

About me and my therapy practice
I achieved my Diploma in Clinical Supervision in 2022 from CPPD. The supervisees I have worked with – trainee, newly-qualified and experienced counsellors and therapists – have been based in schools, colleges and private practice.
As a supervisor I provide what Page and Wosket called the Space (in their Cyclical Model).
“This is the heart of the supervision process, the part of supervision in which reflection, exploration, recognition, insight and understanding can all occur.” (1994:103).
I trained as an Integrative Supervisor, appreciating the myriad theoretical ways one can work with and help clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. My style is less approach-specific, while keeping faithful to the main tenets of Transactional Analysis and CBT as core modalities.
