About me and my therapy practice
It's Time For You!
Are you always there for everyone else, and now need someone to be there for you? Have you suffered a loss or bereavement which you are struggling to process because you feel so overwhelmed? Are you feeling low and anxious? Whatever difficulties you are facing, my job is not to diagnose you, give you advice, or tell you how to fix things. My job is to be by your side as we explore ways to help you find your own answers.
I follow a Humanistic approach and commit to working with you at your own pace in a non-judgemental way, to seeing you as the unique individual that you are, and to building a trusting relationship with you where you can feel really heard. It’s your space. Often the most healing gift we can receive is to feel fully listened to.
Practice description
I am a fully qualified Humanistic Counsellor. I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Humanistic Counselling, after achieving a Diploma of Higher Education in Humanistic Counselling and Level 4 Certificate in Counselling Skills.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) - BACP Registration No 384125.
I commit to regular Continued Professional Development (CPD) to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.
All my working roles have involved caring for others and listening to how they view their world. I enjoy helping people work towards a more hopeful future.
I recently worked with a national bereavement charity and have extensive training and experience working with loss and grief. Loss comes in many forms - loss of health, identity, job, home, relationship.. all of which can be recent or historic and result in us coping in unhelpful ways. I can help you untangle your feelings, to help you see a clearer way forward.
My first session
When I receive your initial enquiry I will respond as quickly as possible to acknowledge and reassure you, I know how difficult it can be to reach out for help. I will then offer you a free telephone call which helps us both see if I might be the best person to help you. We can then arrange a face to face session.
