About me and my therapy practice
Life can be difficult, and the stories we tell ourselves can often limit and block us in leading the life we truly want to lead. Through my work as an integrative therapist, I draw on a variety of different approaches, to assist you in meeting your particular needs and goals. I use the relationship we gradually build together to shine a light on understanding other relationships in your life, to better understand yourself, and develop the resources to live more authentically.
My experience in the mental health field spans several years and includes working as a counsellor in different areas. I have experience working with adults in an NHS secondary mental health service working with trauma. I also have experience and training in working with bereavement and loss and supporting students with stress, anxiety, and depression in a diverse university counselling service. As a parent, I fully appreciate the challenges this role can often bring. I draw on this, as well as knowledge gained in an NHS perinatal service, to work with issues such as pre-and post-natal depression and anxiety, parental identity issues, and difficult birth experiences. My Master’s research focused on women’s experience of post-natal depression.
I trained at The Minster Centre and hold a Diploma, an Advanced Diploma and an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from Minster Centre, London.
As a Psychotherapist, I am registered with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide fully by their ethics, ensuring safe practise. I am also an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, the leading organisation for psychotherapists in the UK. My practice is a short walk from Finsbury Park station, within easy access to a number of bus and tube line routes. Confidential messages can be sent to me via email.
Practice description
I believe there is no 'one-size fits all' in therapy. As an integrative therapist, my approach is tailored to each individual client, drawing on different approaches and theoretical models to work on the issues each client brings. Through therapy we can work together to enable you to explore, and perhaps challenge, old ways of thinking and relating in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
Perhaps you're feeling stressed or numb, like you're going through the motions in life, but can't make sense of it. Whatever brings you to therapy, we can explore together in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Working together, we can explore what is affecting you, bringing new insights, potential and growth.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute telephone or tele-conferencing consultation, followed by an assessment of approximately an hour for £80. This can be either face-to-face or by telephone/online.
These appointments allow us the chance to meet, find out what's brought you to therapy and answer any questions you might have.
After the initial assessment(s), my fee is £80 for each 50 minute therapy session.
