About me and my therapy practice
I work guided by BACP code of ethics, believing that each person is entitled to unconditional positive regard. Confidentiality is of utmost importance. I use the integrative counselling approach, this allows me to use several models from counselling. I veer towards the Person-Centred approach as this puts the client in the unique position of bringing their whole self to the session and having that self heard, with feelings and experience validated.
Practice description
I have a background in nursing, being a trained Midwife and Registered Nurse. I then did my diploma in counselling at The University of Leeds, graduating with distinction. I am a Registered Member of the British Association of counsellors and Psychotherapist. I am African-Caribbean and have lived and worked in Africa and the United States with exposure to all these cultures. I work with adults and older people. Every life is a story and each story deserves to be listened to when the time of need comes. Every story can be edited, I offer my services, using my skills as a integrated counsellor, as you edit your story.
